This meme took a while because I had to rig the hand, pare down its face count, add shading for textured models, and program all the model movement. I also had a weird bug where the lighting was following the camera:
I eventually figured out that I was calculating the lighting in camera space, not world space, which meant the models were rotating around the light. It was an easy fix; I just moved the lighting calculation before the camera transformation.
