Today I painted 15 trees! It took about four hours start to finish including breaks.
Some things I learned:
- The stamping technique works best with less water than I normally use.
- Faster strokes produce lighter colors than slower strokes.
- The reverse side of my watercolor paper is more textured than the front and it makes dry brushing much easier.
- Mixing lighter colors first avoids polluting the lighter color, e.g. putting yellow on the palette and then blue avoids making the yellow pan green.
