Yesterday I bought a vintage 1956 Anscoflex film camera at a thrift store for $12! Today I’m taking it apart and trying to fix the shutter.
But first of all, look at this viewfinder, it’s so cool!
Ok, now on to the disassembly!
I’m using this guide by Shane Blomberg. It’s for the Anscoflex II, but they’re practically the same. The only problem with this camera is that the shutter doesn’t work; the button presses, but the shutter doesn’t actuate. After taking it apart, I tried manually actuating the shutter and it works! The button just wasn’t returning all the way. Tomorrow I’m going to clean the parts and reassemble it!
