Film Development Research

With my Anscoflex camera fixed, I’m researching what I’d need to take photos with it. I’m looking at developing my own film because there’s no film labs near me and I think it would be fun. I’m not sure whether to start with color or black and white film. I’ve never tried black and white photography, so maybe I’d start with that.

Here’s what I would need so far:

  • 120 film (The Anscoflex is supposed to take 620 film, but 620 is super expensive, and I can either trim or re-spool the 120 film to make it work.)
  • Developer tank
  • Dark bag
  • Film clips
  • Developing chemicals
  • Several measuring containers
  • Distilled water
  • Storage bottles for the chemicals
  • Thermometer
  • A way to scan the negatives

Scanning the negatives is the part I’m least sure about. I’ll research it some more tomorrow.
