Learning Assembly, Part 2 #7

Today I reviewed addressing modes. Then I got sidetracked. In part 1 #7, I discovered that I got a buzzing sound when I wrote #$FF into all the memory addresses. I decided to investigate by trying other numbers. Here’s my results so far:

  • #$FF Buzzing
  • #$FE Clicking
  • #$FD Square wave
  • #$FC Higher pitch square wave
  • #$FB Nothing
  • #$FA Bass square wave
  • #$F9 Not sure how to describe this one, but it sounds kinda awful
  • #$F8 Higher pitch awful
  • #$F7 Sounds like when my laptop bluescreens
  • #$F6 Kind of bass square wave again
  • #$F5 Even higher pitch square wave
  • #$F4 Even higher pitch square wave
  • #$F3 Spaceship engine sounds
  • #$F2 Intense looping vinyl crackle
  • #$F1 Buzzing again, like fluorescent lights
  • #$F0 Nothing

I need to find out how this works.
