Summer ’22, Day 81

Today I’m thinking about art and gear. I wrote a much longer draft of this post and then I was like, “Ugh, why am I saying so much?” Here’s what I’m trying to say: This is my 500th post. I want to prove that it’s possible to make good digital art and run a blog with a toaster computer. Here’s the posts in which I used better computers:

  1. Summer ’22, Day 37
  2. Summer ’22, Day 78
  3. Procedural Stars in Blender
  4. TI Calculator Cable
  5. NES Controller Cleaning
  6. Anscoflex Camera Restoration, #1
  7. Anscoflex Camera Restoration, #2
  8. Learning to Drift in Forza
  9. Learning to Drift in Forza, #2
  10. Playing “Getting Over It”, #15
  11. Accidental optical illusion
  12. Keyboard Gradients
  13. Keyboard Gradients, Part 2
  14. Playing “Portal”
  15. Playing “Portal”, #2
  16. Playing “Portal”, #3
  17. Playing “Portal 2”
  18. Playing “Portal 2”, #2
  19. Playing “The Beginner’s Guide”

If you find the remaining posts convincing: yey! What I want to say is: Work with what you have, and you might be surprised. I’m not sure when I’m getting a better computer, so I thought I’d post this now while I’m still convincing.

PS: Specs for you computer nerds: Intel i3 M380, 4GB DDR3 RAM, Samsung 860 EVO 250GB SSD.
