Is there any point to writing these? I don’t seem to be reaching anyone, including myself.

There is
I read each one, and although I rarely comment it’s a nice constant for there to always be another Cheesisatrafficsignal post. On another note, I’m sure at least one or two others in Snoikerz reads them.
If you aren’t reaching yourself then maybe try a different medium, or not posting publicly. As far as poetry is concerned in reaching oneself, I’ve found that even a little thing, such as a particular word or a literal perspective shift when looking at something, like a window or puddle can spark a new train of thought that takes me to a previously unknown place. Even if the train doesn’t take me to where I intended to go, it doesn’t matter. Sometimes shots in the dark land, and when they do, it’s oddly gratifying.
I’m not sure how similar the types of reaching oneself and self-expression are between poetry and daily posts/journals, but I think there could be a correlation worth exploring.
Sorry it took me so long to reply! The random shots in the dark is so accurate. I’m trying to believe that I’m building something here, even when it doesn’t feel like it.
You are building something, even if it isn’t clear what it is right now, one day the proverbial veil will fall and it will make sense. Perhaps you’ll look back on this someday and see a piece of yourself poured into each of these posts. You’re documenting, examining, and building with aspects of yourself, given how amazing you are, it’ll be incredible.
❤️ (Not sure how I missed your reply!)
