Spring ’23, Day 19

Message is about context. Maybe I can create context.

I’ll try.

You look through these words and there’s a warmth behind them. A fireplace, gently crackling. I hand you some hot chocolate (or tea, whatever it is that you like.) I’m sitting in a massive armchair and you are in a similar one. The world around us fades away and the orange glow sighs. There’s just fire, warmth, and quiet.

“How was your day?”

You may not answer, but I don’t want you to leave just yet. Your eyes scanning, brain rendering. I’ll keep you here a moment longer.
Clouds part and a single ray divides the darkness. Orange is replaced with blue. Grass takes center frame and the fire diminishes. Chairs fade, but their support remains. Birds, breeze, and a single bee out early. Dew surrounds you and me, but dampness relinquishes.

“Today is a good day to be alive.”
