Today I have something a bit different: learning how to drift in Forza Horizon 4. This seemed like a fun post to write, so here it is!
Background: I love car driving games and my favorite thing to do in them is to drift. Although, I have a confession: I don’t really know how to drift. It’s always hit or miss. Sometimes I drift around corners perfectly, sometimes I spin out and lose control. My method for drifting right now is to enter the corner, tap the e-brake, and floor it. Pretty bad, eh? So I decided it’s time to learn drifting properly.
I started with this video by DUBS. I got the same car and tuning setup and started practicing. I practiced drifting in loops, around corners, and through traffic. I wanted to be able to do one full loop around one of the circular barricades (what are they actually called?) I spent so much time spinning out and trying again. I finally got it and it’s so satisfying to do a complete loop.
In conclusion, I feel like I’ve improved significantly. I still have a long way to go towards the perfect drift, but it’s nice to know I have some idea of what I’m doing now.
