Today I played Final Drive Fury, a racing game I played many years ago. I had a brief quest finding it because I didn’t remember the name. All I remembered was that the main car was a Kia (an unusual brand for a racing game) and that I played it on WildTangent. A search for “wildtangent kia racing game” yielded the name and I quickly discovered that it was no longer available. I found this video about the game by Atomic Purple with a link to the demo version. The demo version is the full game, but limits you to one play session. Or at least it’s supposed to. Mine was quite happy to provide infinite free play sessions. Atomic Purple had lots of trouble getting around the play limit, but mine just works ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ One difference is that I’m playing with the game online, so it can still try to reach the servers. Anyway, the game is pure eye candy and it’s just as fun now as it was before! Yes, the steering and handling are awful, but that doesn’t stop it from being fun.
Edit 12/23/2021 (next day): lol, my copy “just works” because Atomic Purple updated the download link to a copy from after Final Drive Fury went free to play xD
