Resting, #14

During the last two weeks, I’ve had more ideas for things to make than in the past few months. It’s odd because it’s a reversal:
I normally have one idea, make one project, and grind in the interim between ideas. Now I have a pile of ideas and I can’t act on any of them. I’ve had to tell myself “no” a lot. And every time, I’ve been glad afterward. I’m learning to rest, but I still don’t have the energy to create. I write down the ideas and sometimes make plans. Which is good, because planning projects makes them go much smoother. Especially with programming. Knowing what I’m trying to do is sometimes half the battle.
I’m wondering whether I’ll still want to make the ideas when I reach the end of the 30 days. I’m used to squeezing projects into that window of peak motivation and I’m wondering if I’m watching windows whoosh past. Maybe by the end, I won’t need peak motivation.
