Today I reviewed addressing modes. Then I got sidetracked. In part 1 #7, I discovered that I got a buzzing sound when I wrote #$FF into all the memory addresses. I decided to investigate by trying other numbers. Here’s my results so far:
- #$FF Buzzing
- #$FE Clicking
- #$FD Square wave
- #$FC Higher pitch square wave
- #$FB Nothing
- #$FA Bass square wave
- #$F9 Not sure how to describe this one, but it sounds kinda awful
- #$F8 Higher pitch awful
- #$F7 Sounds like when my laptop bluescreens
- #$F6 Kind of bass square wave again
- #$F5 Even higher pitch square wave
- #$F4 Even higher pitch square wave
- #$F3 Spaceship engine sounds
- #$F2 Intense looping vinyl crackle
- #$F1 Buzzing again, like fluorescent lights
- #$F0 Nothing
I need to find out how this works.
