I may be misrepresenting what I type on the unplugged keyboard as always being funny. A lot of it is stuff I need to say, but to no one in particular, and things I can’t say in English (not literally, mentally).

In Outliers, Malcolm Gladwell presents a study of Korean airplanes crashing, lots of them. Long story short, ideal conditions for disaster combined with communication problems. The copilots couldn’t raise concerns with the captain because of their traditional respect for authority. Part of the solution was to retrain the pilots to use English, and in doing so, leave behind the social restraints of Korean. Maybe in Toki Pona I can leave behind my restraints with English.
