Today I discovered thumbnail sketching thanks to this video by Alphonso Dunn. In thumbnail sketching, I feel free to explore ideas I might not otherwise try, even in normal sketch form. I think canvas size has a huge effect on the drawing artistic process and knowing whether to go bigger or smaller is important. It seems that a smaller canvas is just what I needed.
PS: I tend to avoid posts like this because I feel like I have to include an image and then I decide to post something else which doesn’t carry the same expectation.
